“Shake Our Sillies Out”
Music Time for Tots

Music and movement class for kids 0-5. Have lots of fun singing, dancing, and playing to the beat. This class features movement, percussion instruments, scarf play, dancing, and of course lots of singing and silliness. Andrea Shupack is a long-time musician and music educator. She leads music at two preschools and brings lots of energy and love of kids and music to her classes.

Open to all dancers on a drop in or class card basis, An intermediate/advanced class with a focus on body awareness, sensation, athleticism and artistry. We invite any and all adult/teen dancers to come move with us in a completely welcoming and mixed-level atmosphere.
These classes assume some background in Modern, Ballet, Contemporary or Jazz however all are welcome. Structured and accessible warm up followed by skill building and phrase work. Classes taught by current Bellingham Repertory Dance Company members. We will focus on finding ease and authenticity in movement through play, complex movement sequences, and use of force.

Robert Fong began studying asian martial arts in Hawaii in 1954. He has studied the Chinese internal martial arts and worked closely with Master T. Y. Pang for over 40 years.



Tai Chi for Beginners

In this class you will learn the Tai Chi of Master Yang Chang Fu, more commonly known as Yang Style Tai Chi. The class will focus on alert relaxation, stable body posture and movements to experience the flow of energy or Qi. The benefits of Tai Chi include stress reduction, increased lower body strength, improved balance, posture, and body alignment.

Join Linda and learn T’ai Chi Ch’uan (Yang style) to sustain and maintain your health, balance, and wellbeing throughout the course of your life. Beginners and all levels of experience welcomed. Having studied with Master Tung Kai Ying, Master Tung Chen Wei and Clifton Gore, Linda guides you through each posture of this flowing choreographed style so that you have the confidence to perform T’ai Chi on your own to gain the health benefits of this ancient Chinese martial art form.

YIN STYLE BAGUA STUDY GROUP

Yin Style Baguazhang is a traditional Chinese martial art that employs intricate stepping techniques to set up strikes as the practitioner moves around the opponent in a circular fashion. The art is comprised of eight distinct animal systems which form a comprehensive whole. Strength, agility, and whole body unity are benefits of this aesthetically pleasing art. Training includes: Static strengthening postures, strikes, circle walking, and technique combinations referred to as "forms".

This class will use Qi to explore mental focus and whole body awareness to relax our muscles and to develop whole body power, speed, agility and mental acuity. A typical class includes practicing movements from the animal forms of XinYi, Chen Tai Chi spiral drills and form work, application work, one to one partner work, and multiple partner work. This class is suited for those students who wish to develop internal power in their martial arts.
