Kristin Torok, MFA, CLMA, originally from the Pacific Northwest relocated to the Bay Area in 2007. In Seattle and Bellingham Washington she had the privilege of producing her own choreography and performed with artists such as Wade Madsen, Joanna Mendl Shaw, Bill Evans, Michele Miller, Shirley Jenkins and Ann Carlson. In Bellingham while serving on the board for the non-profit repertory dance company, Dance Gallery, she choreographed, performed, taught classes and worked in performance production for seven years.  Since living in the Bay Area, her work has been presented in San Francisco at ODC Theater in a self-production and as a participant in the Pilot Program. She has created film for Tim Rubel Human Shakes and took part in a film project by Mitchell Rose and Bebe Miller. She currently performs with San Francisco-based company, BodiGram. As an educator she teaches many facets of dance and is adjunct faculty at Sacramento State University where she has taught Modern and Dance Cultures in America as well as presented her own choreography. Kristin holds an MFA from Mills College and BFA from Cornish College of the Arts. She is a Certified Laban Movement Analyst and Certified in Evans Technique and also works with private clients at Gyrotonic and Pilates studios in the San Francisco Bay Area.
